◆ 1. Camp Zama Security Agreement ◆

Eagle 810 News. I'm Army Sergeant Kenji Thuloweit.

Camp Zama and Japan Ground Self-Defense Force or JGSDF leaders signed
an agreement recently to help security and protect the installation.

The agreement makes it possible for JGSDF members attached to the first engineering brigade
to work closely with US Army Japan soldiers to provide security and protection for Camp Zama.

Camp Zama officials say the cooperation between the two countries continues to strengthen.

Zama will hold a large scale bilateral exercize with the JGSDF, beginning June 21st.

Some news making headlines in Japan:

Japan plans to implant microchips to imported dogs to prevent babies from coming into the country.

Kyodo News reports the microchips make it easier to recognize imported dogs.
The microchip will be implanted under each dog's skin.

Toyota Motor Corporation said Tuesday it will begin sales of its
Lexas luxury cars in China by the end of this year.

Japan today reports China's luxury car market is growing.

Toyota will initially set up six exclusive Lexas dealerships in Beijing, Shanghai, and two other cities,
adding that it plans to increase the number to fourteen by the middle of 2005.

大更新される前の米軍放送公式サイトには掲載されていたのを見た記憶は確かにあるのですが・・・）
